Fixing the Front Using Porcelain Veneers

Posted .

Porcelain veneers are thin but durable, ceramic shells bonded to the front part of the tooth. They can improve your smile by covering unsightly issues or damaged teeth.

Smiling adds to your attractiveness and is how you present yourself to others. So, if you have issues with your smile, porcelain veneers are a natural-looking option to fix the front teeth. They blend in flawlessly with your original teeth to smooth over any damage or imperfection and are practically undetectable to others. Also, when properly taken care of, these sturdy fronts will last for many years.

Veneers are utilized for a whole host of dental concerns such as:

-Teeth that are poorly shaped
-Teeth that have become damaged, chipped, or cracked
-Teeth that are crooked
-Gaps in teeth
-Discolored teeth not helped by whitening

How it Works:

Your dentist will prep your teeth for veneers by grinding down the surface enamel on the target teeth by one millimeter. Then they will make a mold of your mouth and have a dental laboratory customize your veneers specifically for your teeth. If needed, temporary veneers will be placed while the lab makes the mold. When the mold is done, the dentist will cement the custom made covers to your teeth with a bond-like agent.
